FOC Q & A

What is FOC?

FOC stands for "Final Order Cut-off". It is the last day shops have to order comics and ensure the exact amount they need before their release date.

Comic release dates are fluid and move around constantly depending on a wide variety of factors, so we handle FOC orders a week at a time to limit pushbacks and elongated wait times.

Of course, we can only do so much and some comics do get pushed back even after their original FOC date has passed.

We can't eliminate unfortunate circumstances entirely. We merely seek to limit them as best we can.

When will I get my books?

Generally speaking, comics tend to appear on FOC three weeks out from their release date. However this is more of a guideline than a hard-fast rule.

We will send books as we get them, bundling as best we can depending on what comes in when and your personal preference.

This is an aspect of the service we are continually refining to ensure you get books as quickly and as safely as possible.

Our goal is ultimately for you to get your books as quickly and as safely as possible.

How do I subscribe? (to a series or creator)

To subscribe to a series or creator, you simply need to go to the product page of a comic from said series or by said creators and click the appropriate sub buttons.

You can unsubscribe by doing the same thing or by going to our Account Settings.

You can find out more about subscriptions here!

How do I order incentives?

We offer incentives at cost.

To order an incentive you must first add enough qualifying covers to your cart to qualify for incentives.

After adding enough qualifying covers, a pop-up will appear and offer you the incentives you qualify for.

Qualifying covers are generally the same name as the incentive variant.

THIS IS NOT THE CHEAPEST METHOD TO GET MOST INCENTIVES!

We offer incentives at cost precisely because we're not trying to sell them as general product. We merely offer to ensure you are able get the incentives you qualify for if you so happen to order enough copies of a book to do so.

Or maybe you want there to be as little touching of an incentive between printer and your collection as possible.

We're not here to tell you want to do. We just offer what we can, how we can.

What do I do if I have questions or any issues?

The best thing to do is hop on the discord and message LockeKosta either via a direct message or by @ing him in the server.

What does the "Not Finalized"/"Finalized" thing mean?

Distributors and publishers are often adjusting what is and isn't available on FOC during any given week up until Friday afternoon.

Even then changes can still occur but are much less likely.

When you see "Finalized", it means this week's FOC is past the point of change likelihood.

What about Bags and Boards?

Bags and boards are not inherently included with FOC items.

If you would like your FOC books to be bagged and boards, click the "Add Bags and Boards" button at checkout. It will automatically calculate the amount of FOC items that are bag-and-boardable and that amount to your cart.
